1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is FAUNA PARK SEDLEC, o.p.s., Company ID (IČO) 01679457, registered office at Piaristů 286/23, 692 01 Mikulov, operator of the ZOO Sedlec zoological garden (Zoologická zahrada ZOO Sedlec, U Mikulova, 691 21 Sedlec).

2. What data we process and why

• Ticket purchases, adoptions and experience bookings. Name, e-mail, possibly phone number and order details. Payments are processed by Stripe; card payment details never reach us. Purpose: conclusion and performance of the contract. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
• Contact form and newsletter subscription. Name and e-mail. Purpose: replying to your enquiry, sending news. Legal basis: consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; consent can be withdrawn at any time.
• Website operation and security. Necessary technical data and cookies for the site to function. Purpose and legal basis: legitimate interest in proper and secure operation — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
• Optional cookies (preferences, analytics, marketing). We process these only with your consent. Legal basis: consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Details in our cookie policy.
• Legal obligations. Data on tax documents is retained pursuant to accounting law and tax regulations. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation).

3. Recipients and processors

We only pass your data to vetted processors, to the extent necessary:

• Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — processing payments for tickets, adoptions and bookings.
• Google Ireland Ltd. (Firebase Hosting) — hosting and delivery of the website.
• Google (Google Maps) — embedded map, loaded only with marketing consent.
• Open-Meteo — anonymous weather data for the zoo's location (no personal data is transferred).

Some processors may process data outside the EU (e.g. in the USA). In such cases the transfer is secured by appropriate GDPR safeguards — the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Retention period

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the given purpose: order data for the duration of the contract and subsequently for the statutory accounting-record retention period (generally 10 years); data for sending news until consent is withdrawn; cookie consent for 6 months, after which we will ask again.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access your data and obtain a copy of the data being processed,
• correct inaccurate data and complete incomplete data,
• erasure (“the right to be forgotten”) and restriction of processing,
• data portability,
• object to processing based on legitimate interest,
• withdraw your consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it),
• lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
